POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to a Public Works Operations Supervisor, the Public Works Operator/Labourer is responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of Public Works Operations including but not limited to snow removal, water/wastewater, streets, and general labour tasks. This rewarding position is key to keeping the streets safe for the community. Come play an important role in making this outstanding community what it is.

What we’re looking for:

- Grade 12 Diploma, or GED equivalent
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in high pressure situations with tight deadlines
- Nova Scotia Class 5 Driver’s License, clean drivers abstract
- Class 3 driver’s license, and endorsement 03 and 15 is preferrable,



or willingness to obtain within a designated time frame
- Willing to obtain an Operator in Training (OIT) water certification within a designated time frame
