Terrick Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting fabricated components throughout the production process to ensure work meets customer requirements, approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in steel fabrication, welding, inspection, or a related industrial environment. Strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and effective communication with production personnel are essential to this role.

Responsibilities

- Perform in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel components
- Conduct inspections throughout various work centers, including cutting, forming, drilling, punching, fitting, welding, grinding, and shipping
- Verify dimensions, quantities, materials, and fabrication details against approved drawings, cut lists, and project specifications
- Review drawings, specifications, ITPs, and other project documentation to determine inspection requirements
- Perform and document first-fit and in-process fabrication inspections
- Conduct visual weld inspections and verify welds meet applicable drawings, procedures, and project requirements
- Confirm required QC checks are completed and properly documented throughout fabrication
- Complete visual inspection reports, dimensional reports, checklists, and other quality documentation
- Ensure cut lists and production documentation contain required operator and QC sign-offs
- Identify non-conforming work and communicate deficiencies to the appropriate production personnel
- Assist with the investigation, documentation, and resolution of non-conformances
- Verify repairs and corrective work have been completed satisfactorily before work proceeds
- Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, welders, operators, and other team members to resolve quality concerns




- Assist third-party inspectors and customer representatives during inspections when required
- Confirm products are ready for third-party NDE, coating, customer inspection, or shipment
- Verify coating, labeling, identification, and final documentation requirements prior to shipment
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records and project quality documentation
- Help ensure company QC procedures and inspection requirements are consistently followed on the shop floor
- Communicate recurring quality concerns or process issues to management and assist with identifying opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

- Experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, quality control, inspection, or a related industrial environment is an asset
- Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and cut lists
- Knowledge of welding and steel fabrication processes
- Familiarity with dimensional inspection tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, levels, and other measuring equipment
- Understanding of material traceability and quality documentation
- Familiarity with weld symbols and welding procedures
- Experience with visual weld inspection
- Knowledge of applicable CSA, CWB, AWS, or other fabrication standards is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to identify deficiencies and communicate them clearly and professionally
- Ability to work effectively with production personnel while maintaining quality requirements
- Ability to prioritize inspections in a fast-paced fabrication environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
