Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and Montessori principles to promote active learning.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom workplace that encourages independence, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Observe and assess each child's developmental progress.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists to support holistic development and address individual requirements.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance in collaboration with specialists.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, attendance records, and classroom activities using computer-based systems.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently,



including transitions, behavior management, and daily schedules to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.

Skills

- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are highly valued to support diverse communities.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development stages, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Experience working with children across various developmental levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Demonstrated classroom experience with the ability to organize activities that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Computer literacy skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communicating with families via digital platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in children and foster collaborative teamwork among staff members.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively within a busy educational setting.
