Job Summary The RECE provides high-quality care and programming that supports each child’s development, well-being, and individual needs while complying with Centre policies and applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring/Qualifications:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or proof it is in progress.
- Up-to-date immunizations.
- Meets College of ECE Continuous Professional Learning requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of ECE experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Warm, dependable, empathetic, and team-oriented.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible with scheduling and classroom assignments.
- Basic computer skills.

What You’ll Do Program & Curriculum

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, inclusive programming.
- Prepare safe and engaging learning spaces and materials.
- Observe children and adapt programming to their needs and interests.
- Support learning, independence, development, and positive behaviour.

Health, Safety & Well-Being

- Follow health, safety, medication, allergy, and child protection procedures.
- Support meals, toileting, diapering, rest, and other daily routines.
- Document and report incidents or concerns as required.
- Release children only to authorized individuals.

Families & Teamwork

- Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
- Communicate relevant information regarding children’s routines and progress.
- Work collaboratively with educators, supervisors, and management.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.




- Attend required meetings, training, and professional development.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Classroom Assignment Classroom assignments are not permanent or guaranteed. Employees may be assigned to different classrooms, age groups, or program areas and provide coverage for breaks, absences, vacations, and transitions based on operational needs.

Working Hours & Conditions

- Full time, up to 40 hours per week, generally Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on enrolment, staffing, and operational needs.
- Regular exposure to common childhood illnesses.
- Attendance at staff meetings, training, or Centre events outside regular hours may be required, with compensation or time in lieu as applicable.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful conduct are required at all times.
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including early mornings and late afternoons
- 45 minutes to 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Monday to Friday
