Role Description The Registered Pharmacy Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, working within the pharmacy team to support safe and efficient medication dispensing. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing prescriptions, preparing and packaging medications, and verifying prescription information under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role involves maintaining accurate patient records, assisting with inventory management and stock rotation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

The technician will also provide courteous, informed customer service,



answering questions within their scope of practice and directing patients to pharmacists as needed. Collaboration with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and front-store staff is important to support smooth pharmacy operations and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong prescription handling skills, including processing, preparation, and verification of prescriptions.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures, including safe medication practices and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting.
- Competence in inventory control, including ordering, receiving, organizing, and rotating stock.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse patients and colleagues.
- Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician designation with the appropriate provincial regulatory college in Canada.
- Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks related to pharmacy work.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and ongoing professional development.
