Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and proactive Retail Sales & Order Fulfillment Associate to join our Chinatown store.

This role is primarily based on the sales floor. You will spend significant time assisting walk-in retail and wholesale customers, answering questions, suggesting related culinary products, keeping shelves stocked, and helping execute visual merchandising resets to keep our displays organized and engaging.

Additionally, you will play a central role in omnichannel order fulfillment. You will fulfill bulk item requests for walk-in shoppers by retrieving back stock from our stockroom, as well as pick, count, and stage outgoing orders originating from phone, email, and our upcoming e-commerce online platform.

Because our store is bustling and peak hours can get hectic, we are looking for an individual who stays calm under pressure, maintains high accuracy when handling product counts and SKUs, and enjoys an active, hands-on work environment.

Schedule & Availability

- Work Week: Full-time, 5 days per week.
- Shift Times: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Weekend Requirement: Must be available and willing to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every week.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service & Product Guidance: Greet walk-in clients warmly, answer questions regarding kitchen tools and tableware, recommend complementary products (cross-selling/upselling),



and walk shoppers directly to shelf locations.
- Walk-In Bulk Order Fulfillment: Assist walk-in retail and commercial clients purchasing items in volume; locate and retrieve full carton quantities or back stock from the stockroom when shelf inventory is depleted.
- Multi-Channel Order Picking (Online, Email & Phone): Review pick lists generated from our upcoming e-commerce platform, email orders, and phone requests; locate and pull products from sales floor shelves or stockroom inventory; verify exact piece and carton counts to guarantee 100% order accuracy.
- Packing & Order Staging: Carefully pack, bubble wrap, box, and label outbound orders—including fragile glassware, chinaware, and commercial cookware; stage orders in designated areas for client pickup, local courier dispatch, or company truck deliveries.
- Visual Merchandising & Floor Resets: Assist with display updates, aisle re-merchandising, and shelf resets to enhance product visibility, improve customer navigation, and maintain high visual standards across departments.
- Shelf Replenishment & Price Tagging: Unpack restock inventory, verify and affix price labels/stickers accurately, and merchandise products neatly on shelves to avoid out-of-stock gaps.
- Receiving & Inventory Verification: Assist with receiving incoming supplier shipments, inspect goods for transit damage, and verify physical piece counts against packing slips to confirm accuracy.
- Customer Loading & Carry-Out Support: Assist clients and delivery drivers with lifting and loading heavier orders into vehicles when needed.
- Store Upkeep: Keep aisles, wrapping counters, fulfillment stations, and stockrooms clean,



organized, and free of empty boxes or packing debris.
- General Floor Support: Assist colleagues across adjacent aisles and departments during peak retail rushes to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Availability: Able to commit to a consistent 5-day schedule from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including at least one weekend day.
- Language Proficiency (Mandatory):
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Fluent verbal communication in at least one of the following languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (required to support our multilingual customer base).
- Customer-Centric Attitude: Approachable, patient, and polite when dealing with everyday retail shoppers, restaurateurs, and wholesale buyers.
- Composure Under Pressure: Able to prioritize tasks, stay focused, and maintain a level head in a bustling, fast-moving retail store.
- Detail-Oriented & Basic Math Skills: Accurate when calculating item/case counts, confirming SKUs/product codes, and checking pick lists.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable standing and moving for the entire workday, using step ladders safely, and regularly lifting, bending, and carrying merchandise (up to 40–50 lbs).
- Experience: Prior experience in retail sales, stock replenishment, e-commerce order picking, or warehouse fulfillment is an asset, but we are happy to train dependable candidates with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
