Title: SDET - AI Testing & Python Automation

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 24+ Months

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI SDET who combines strong hands-on technical expertise with proven leadership capabilities. This role will focus on testing AI/GenAI-based solutions and alternative data platforms, while leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AI testing, Python-based test automation, API and performance testing, and modern QA methodologies. You will define testing strategies, develop and oversee automation frameworks, drive quality improvements, and remain actively involved in testing critical and complex solutions.

Required Qualifications

- 8
- years of hands-on software testing / Quality Engineering experience.

- 3+ years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or QA leadership position.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams of 3+ engineers.
- Strong understanding of AI testing, GenAI applications, AI agents, SDLC, Agile, and modern testing methodologies.
- Expert-level Python programming skills with 5+ years of test automation development experience.




- Advanced hands-on experience designing and developing test automation frameworks.
- Robust experience with automation technologies such as: Python, Behave, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- Strong experience with API testing and automated API validation.
- Experience with performance/load testing, preferably using Locust.
- Strong knowledge of Git/version control and CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Demonstrated experience developing QA strategies and implementing testing process improvements.
- Ability to make technical decisions and provide guidance on test architecture and automation design.
- Experience with resource planning, capacity management, project estimation, and testing prioritization.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
