Greenland Garden Centre is hiring part-time Seasonal Christmas Cashiers & Cashier Sales Assistants to join our Frontline Team for the Christmas season.

Christmas at Greenland is one of our busiest and most exciting times of year. As one of Canada’s largest Christmas stores, we welcome many guests each season who come to shop, explore our displays and make Greenland part of their holiday traditions.

Our Frontline Team is an significant part of that experience. You’ll help create a warm, welcoming final impression for our customers while keeping the checkout area running smoothly, accurately and efficiently.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused seasonal role where no two days are exactly the same. Depending on the needs of the Frontline Team, you may work as a cashier, cashier assistant, or a combination of both.

What You’ll Do Depending on your assigned responsibilities, you may:

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently through the Point-of-Sale system.
- Handle cash, debit,



credit and other approved payment methods.
- Assist customers with general questions and help direct them to the appropriate department or team member when needed.
- Carefully wrap and package fragile Christmas ornaments, décor and other customer purchases.
- Verify pricing, discounts and promotions when required.
- Maintain an organized, clean and welcoming checkout area.
- Replenish bags, wrapping materials and other Frontline supplies.
- Retrieve shopping carts from store entrances and the parking lot.
- Complete routine cleaning and housekeeping duties within the Frontline area.
- Follow Greenland’s policies, procedures and cash-handling practices.
- Assist with other reasonable Frontline duties as required during the season.

- A willingness to learn Greenland’s Point-of-Sale system, procedures and customer service expectations.
- The ability to work respectfully and cooperatively as part of a team.
- Reliability and consistent attendance throughout the Christmas season.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset,



but we are happy to train the right person.

Seasonal Availability and Commitment This is a short but important season, and consistent attendance and availability are essential. Applicants must be available for a flexible retail schedule that may include:

- Seasonal part-time positions, ranging 20-30 hours a week.
- Evening and weekend availability is required.
- Consistent availability is required from October through early December.
- Because November is our busiest Christmas period, time-off requests are limited to no more than two consecutive days.
