Who we are The Agency Relations Branch plays a vital role in the oversight and strategic management of provincial agencies operating in New Brunswick’s gaming, alcohol, and retail cannabis sectors. This dynamic branch supports two key Crown Corporations the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) and the Cannabis Management Corporation (CMC), overseeing high-impact service provider agreements with Casino New Brunswick, Grey Rock Casino, Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC.ca), and Cannabis New Brunswick, which manages the province’s retail cannabis model. Additionally, the branch is responsible for the administration of gaming revenue-sharing agreements with First Nation communities, ensuring collaboration and mutual benefit through thoughtful governance and relationship management.

As part of the Corporate Services Division within the Department of Finance and Treasury Board, the Agency Relations Branch is seeking a transformational, strategic leader with a proven ability to build strong relationships and drive results within a complex and evolving ecosystem. What you will do Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Capital Markets Analyst identifies opportunities, performs research and analysis, writes reports, creates data and documentation and advises on strategy related but not limited to the following categories:





- fixed income and currency markets; - negotiating terms and conditions of debenture issues and related derivative instruments; - liability and risk management; - trust funds oversight and investment; - oversight of borrowing syndicate members; - stakeholder and regulatory communications; - financial market new products, data, rates and analytics. Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following: Need to have - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics or other related discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience - A recognized professional designation such as a Canadian CPA or CFA - Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Positive, can-do attitude with demonstrated persistence and resilience in challenging situations. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability. Nice to have Preference may be given to candidates that possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:




- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course; - Knowledge of Canadian debt capital markets; - Familiarity with legal terminology and documentation. The successful candidate will possess the following behavioral competencies:

Wage Pay

Band 7 - $94,146 – $113,906 annually.
