Senior Catering & Event Coordinator —
Position Overview
Kiss the Cook Catering is seeking a Senior Event Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and client experience for corporate events, private celebrations, weddings and premium activations across the GTA. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, loves food‑driven experiences, and can juggle logistics, people, and creative details with confidence.
The Senior Event Coordinator will be responsible for full-service event planning from inquiry to execution, ensuring seamless communication between clients, kitchen, service teams, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning — Lead full‑cycle planning for corporate catering, weddings, social events, and large activations. Build timelines, floor plans, and service flows.
- Client Management — Serve as the primary client contact for full-service events. Conduct consultations, tastings, set-ups, and ensure expectations are clearly translated into orders.
- Logistics Coordination — Manage rentals, staffing requirements, delivery schedules, venue rules, permits, and vendor relationships.
- Team Leadership — Direct event staff onsite, support event leads, and ensure service standards align with Kiss the Cook’s hospitality values.
- Budget & Billing — Prepare quotes, track event budgets, manage change orders, and ensure accurate contracts.
- Quality Control — Oversee event setup, presentation, and service execution on select events such as weddings. Troubleshoot issues quickly and professionally.
- Post‑Event Reporting — Complete client follow-ups, event summaries, client feedback logs, and operational improvement notes.
- Training – Assist with training new event planner hires.
Qualifications
- 4–6+ years of experience in catering, hospitality, or event planning
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, service flow, event rental requirements and logistics
- Exceptional communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to lead teams of 5–25 staff depending on event size
- Proficiency with event software (e.g., CRM, scheduling tools, floor‑plan platforms) We use Caterease
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs and work evenings/weekends as needed for select special events.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
