The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full time, permanent Senior Project Director, Redevelopment to lead the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of large-scale capital redevelopment projects. This senior leadership role will ensure projects align with CAMH’s organizational goals, meet regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time, within budget, and to established quality standards. The position also provides leadership across facilities management, real estate strategy, and energy initiatives, overseeing a diverse portfolio of CAMH-managed and third-party facilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and delivery of major capital redevelopment projects, including projects valued at approximately $2 billion, ensuring compliance with project timelines, quality standards, budgets, and government reporting requirements. Lead regular project meetings, monitor progress, identify emerging issues, and proactively implement solutions.

Develop and align capital project, real estate, facilities management, and energy strategies with CAMH’s broader organizational priorities.

Lead feasibility studies and oversee submissions to the Ministry of Health and Infrastructure Ontario.

Build and maintain solid relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, and community partners.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks while implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and maintain accurate project documentation.

Establish and monitor quality assurance processes to support successful project delivery.

Manage project changes and ensure updates, decisions, and impacts are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Provide leadership and direction to project teams and external consultants, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environment.





Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, financial accountability, and adherence to approved spending limits.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

A professional designation such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor), or PEng (Professional Engineer).

A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with significant experience in healthcare and construction environments.

Demonstrated experience leading large-scale redevelopment projects from inception through completion.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, sustainable design practices, and construction management tools.

Demonstrated strategic thinking and experience working and negotiating with government and regulatory bodies

Executive Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $161,730.61 – $202,163.26 per year. (based on leadership experience, qualifications, and organizational needs)
- Full Salary Range:



$161,730.61 – $242,595.91 per year (reflecting progressive growth and leadership tenure within the organization)
