About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in mining to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in delivering capital mining and mineral processing projects. This role involves overseeing projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from initial studies and proposal development to detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to define project strategies, manage technical and commercial risks, and ensure the achievement of project objectives.

The role requires a deep understanding of mining and heavy industrial projects, including mineral processing facilities and infrastructure.

Experience with NI 43-101 technical studies and the ability to act as a Qualified Person (QP) or collaborate with QPs is essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects and contribute to sustainable solutions within the mining sector.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines such as Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Mining, with over 15 years of experience managing capital projects within the mining or mineral processing industries. Proven success in managing large-scale projects with budgets up to $200 million TIC is required.



Candidates should have experience supporting or leading technical study phases like PEA, PFS, and FS, along with strong skills in project controls, scheduling (using tools like MS Project), budgeting, and cost forecasting.

Demonstrated ability to manage project risks, changes, and client relationships is essential. Eligibility to act as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 or experience working closely with QPs is highly desirable. Flexibility to travel to project sites and client locations as necessary is also required.

Responsibilities

Leadership

- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across various engineering disciplines and geographical locations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, risk management frameworks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget constraints.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to project engineers and technical staff to foster a high-performance team workplace.

Technical Expertise

- Manage engineering activities for capital mining and mineral processing projects, including both greenfield and brownfield developments.
- Support and oversee engineering scopes for technical studies such as PEA, PFS, FS, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.
- Develop scope definitions, cost estimates, and project execution strategies during proposal and study phases.
- Ensure engineering deliverables adhere to quality standards and align with Sacré-Davey’s Quality Management System.
- Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and technically sound project execution.

Stakeholder Communication

- Act as the primary liaison for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear, transparent communication.
- Present project updates, technical strategies, and progress reports to clients and stakeholders.




- Facilitate alignment between engineering teams, project sponsors, and external partners.
- Manage scope changes and client expectations professionally, ensuring satisfaction and project success.

Compliance and Standards

- Ensure all projects comply with relevant engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project phase reviews, capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical oversight for NI 43-101 compliant studies and documentation, where applicable.
- Support technical review processes necessary for Qualified Person sign-off.

Strategic Contributions

- Support business development efforts through proposal writing, scope definition, and effort estimation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance project execution methodologies and client outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Sacré-Davey’s project management practices.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships within the mining sector to support future business growth.
