Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET

InnosysTech is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET with strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Java-based automation, Selenium or Playwright, REST API testing, SQL and CI/CD, along with experience working in Agile delivery environments.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop automation frameworks and test suites—not only execute manual test cases.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
- Develop automated tests for web applications, APIs and backend services.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Automate UI testing using Selenium and/or Playwright.
- Develop and execute REST API tests using Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI or similar tools.
- Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures and work with development teams on root-cause analysis.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data and defect documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, defect triage and release activities.

Required Skills
- 7+ years of software testing / Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in QA automation / SDET roles.




- Strong programming or automation experience using Java.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright.
- Strong experience with REST API testing and automation.
- Experience with Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI or similar API testing tools.
- Strong SQL and database-testing experience.
- Experience with Git and source-control practices.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, test automation strategy and defect lifecycle management.

Nice to Have
- Performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with Cucumber / BDD, TestNG or JUnit.
- Experience with Azure or AWS.
- Docker / Kubernetes experience.
- Accessibility testing experience with WCAG / AODA.
- Experience testing microservices and distributed applications.
- Previous experience working on large enterprise or public-sector technology programs.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who has personally designed, developed and maintained automation, not someone whose experience is primarily manual testing.
