Pacific West Mechanical is a well established and growing full service mechanical contractor. Our expertise is in service, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting, of managed commercial and multi-family buildings in the Greater Vancouver Region.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Plumbing Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of residential and commercial plumbing systems, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment and fixtures.

You’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, while also having the independence to manage work in a busy, fast-paced environment. We value people who take pride in their work, think on their feet, and are willing to jump in and help the team when needed.

In This Role, You Will

- Quote, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot, source and repair water leaks
- Replace, repair, and rebuild PRVs, relief valves, boilers, HWTs, and storage tanks.
- Perform annual cleaning and maintenance on equipment such as boilers
- Perform quarterly preventative maintenance services
- Complete water piping, soldering, and ProPress work up to 2".
- Work independently while collaborating with the broader team to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Maintain a professional, clean, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and other stakeholders

To Succeed in This Role Must-Haves

· 10+ years of experience as an indentured Plumber.

· Strong plumbing troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills.

· Ability to work independently and proactively in a busy, fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.

· Reliable, hardworking, and willing to take ownership of your work.

· Positive attitude and strong team mentality.





· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving history.

· Ability to legally work in Canada.

· Willingness to provide references upon request.

Nice-to-Haves

· Red Seal Plumbing certification.

· Class A or B Gas Ticket.

· Backflow certification and experience testing and repairing backflows.

· High-rise building experience.

· Boiler experience.

· Electrical or controls experience.

· Experience with commercial plumbing systems.

· Experience with camera scoping and locating.

· Experience with hydro jetting.
