We are seeking a Senior Underground Mining Engineer based out of our Toronto or Montreal Office, working in a hybrid schedule

Reporting to DRA’s SVP Mining and Geology in Montreal, you will lead and provide technical assistance in mining engineering for greenfield and brownfield mining projects and operation in Canada and Overseas

Responsibilities:

Lead DRA’s mining teams on various projects and studies including:

- Preparation of mine design and mining schedules for open pit and/or underground mining project
- Estimation mining equipment fleet requirements and assist in developing mining capex and opex
- Development of strategies to maximize the value of our clients’ mining operations and projects

Requirements:

- B.Eng in Mining Engineering;
- 10 or more years of experience in consulting, and/or operating mines;
- Member in valuable standing of a professional engineering order in Canada;




- Practical experience in open pit and/or underground operations;
- Expert skills in the use of mine design and optimization software
- Proficient in developing CAPEX and OPEX models;
- Experience with NI 43-101 or similar technical report requirements;

General Requirements:

- Available to travel from time to time within Canada and Overseas;
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- French and/or Spanish would be an asset

The compensation range for this role is $140,000 to $155,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
