JOB SUMMARY The position will be responsible for assisting the Shipping/Receiving Lead to ensure accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Shipper Assistant will be assigned duties to ensure that the department runs smoothly.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

· Highschool diploma or equivalent relevant experience.

· Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

· Forklift certification an asset.

· WHMIS (2015) safety certification or equivalent would be an asset.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Follow C-TPAT guidelines for security practices within the shipping area.

· Follow the duties assigned by the supervisor and ask for help when necessary.

· Warehouse housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work setting is maintained.

· Build shipping boxes/packaging and tidy up shipping/receiving areas by emptying garbage’s and collecting recyclables.

· Assist with cataloging of documentation, counting and inventory audits.

· Follow current standards and procedures.

· Maintain a safe work environment

· Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION CONDITIONS

· Repetitive tasks such as counting product, packing and building shipping containers.

· Position requires a reasonable amount of standing and movement around the manufacturing facility.

· Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.

· Lifting or moving up to lift up to 70 lbs may be required.
