Job Overview and Duties

Reporting to the Production Manager and the Engineering Director, your role is to manage the movement of all raw material and goods at various stages of the manufacturing process on a daily basis and ensure the efficient operation of all shipping department functions. Your tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

- Receive and inspect the shipments
- Prepare shipments for pickup
- Follow and be aware of ongoing projects and manufacturing process
- Be aware of raw material inventory and project specific inventory
- Be informed on incoming materials, ETA on orders, storage capacity and locations
- Perform cycle counts periodically
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Manage movement of goods to sub-contractors, CARDSTON locations and clients.




- Be informed of the processes for each project, and the sequence of processes
- Assist and co-ordinate with Scheduling to ensure material is in the assigned location for manufacturing processes
- Co-ordinate with outside vendor services to ensure delivery and pickup of material

Qualifications
- 2 years Experience in warehouse distribution, shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, pallet wrapping equipment etc.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload materials safely
- Able to provide accurate cycle counts, and ability to learn manufacturing software as it applies to the position
- Computer Proficiency with spreadsheets, word and our ERP (we will train)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
