Who We Are...

Schramm's Woodcraft has been producing Architectural Millwork for 30 years. Our manufacturing facility is located in Edmonton, but we install our product across Alberta. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cabinetmaker to join our millwork manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be experienced in various aspects of millwork manufacturing and familiar with the materials required for production. The ideal candidate would have experience as a Shop Foreman, managing or coordinating production staff.

What You Will Do...

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shop Foreman is responsible for providing a range of hands-on production tasks and planning. You will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and safety. The foreman is responsible for production scheduling, workplace safety, quality control, and cost management.

Job Duties as a Shop Foreman / Cabinetmaker

- Cabinet fabrication/assembly
- Blueprint interpretation
- Schedule daily work plans for hourly employees
- Train, coach, develop and motivate employees
- Ensure Schramm’s Safety program is adhered to by all employees
- Ensure staff adheres to established manufacturing processes
- Inspect manufactured products for quality workmanship
- Communicate concerns, shortages and delays to the Operations Manager
- Work with Operations Manager on recruitment and selection process




- Conduct probationary reviews with shop employees
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of shop employees to ensure high quality products are produced in a timely manner
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

What Qualities a Candidate Must Possess...

- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production workplace
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in management or supervisory role with direct reports
- Exceptional understanding of production processes
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Effective communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills

What Qualities a Candidate Should Possess... Experience in custom cabinetry or millwork production. Familiarity with edge banding and panel processing equipment. Forklift or material-handling experience (asset).
