Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with various machines including skid steers, plow trucks, loaders and sanding units, ensuring efficient snow removal and landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks of snow and ice.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal and landscape maintenance tasks.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment during winter operations.
- Respond promptly to changing weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating snow plow equipment or similar machinery.




- Solid mechanical knowledge for maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including extreme cold and snow.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
- Valid driver's license is required; commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred.
