Job Overview

Vélin Homes is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist for a part-time student placement. This position is ideal for a student currently enrolled in an applicable post-secondary program (Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field) who is eager to gain hands-on experience in branding, content creation, and digital marketing within the custom home building industry.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with brand goals and key project milestones.
- Branding: Maintain brand identity and create engaging visual assets across digital channels.
- Photography & Content Creation: Capture on-site photos and visual content of custom home builds, ongoing projects, and architectural details.
- Website Updates: Manage website content,



portfolio additions, and digital media updates.
- Digital Marketing: Support social media scheduling, campaign execution, and engagement monitoring across social platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- International students are not eligible based on government funding placement requirements.
- Strong interest in design, architecture, and custom home construction.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid workplace with occasional on-site photography visits in Calgary.

Pay: $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
