Sr. AI Engineer to develop Agentic AI solutions using Python and LangGraph for our enterprise retail client

- Location: 1 Day On-Site per week (North Mississauga or downtown Toronto near Bathurst & Lakeshore)
- Contract Duration: Until the end of 2027
- Interview Process: 2 Rounds. First round, 30 Minutes with the hiring Manager. Second round: 90 Minute, in-person panel style interview at Bathurst & Lakeshore.

Overview

Our enterprise retail client is looking for 4 AI Engineers to join a newly forming AI Development pod focused on building Agentic AI solutions across Data, Loyalty and Marketing.

The team is building internal AI applications that will support business users across multiple use cases, including AI agents that can assist with activities such as marketing campaign development, assessment and decision support with human oversight.

You will develop on an existing enterprise Agentic AI platform, building production-ready AI agents and workflows using Python, LangGraph and Langfuse. This is a hands‑on development role for someone with a strong Python engineering foundation and practical experience building LLM/AI applications.

Must‑Haves

- 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands‑on Python development
- Hands‑on experience building LLM, Generative AI or Agentic AI applications
- Experience with LangGraph or a similar AI orchestration framework
- Experience with Langfuse or a similar LLM observability platform
- Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask or similar Python frameworks




- Robust cloud experience (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered), with familiarity troubleshooting cloud applications, logs and containerized workloads
- Experience with RAG, embeddings and/or vector search
- Strong communication, problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice‑to‑Haves

- Hands‑on GCP experience, including Vertex AI and/or BigQuery
- Kubernetes and Docker
- React / front‑end development experience
- Experience with Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic or other LLMs
- Experience within retail, loyalty or marketing environments
