Position Summary:

Thread Collective Inc is looking for a Technical Designer to join our team and to help expand further our line and better our execution. Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

- Develop detailed tech packs from Designers sketches and/or samples, making suggestions & fit adjustments based on experience and comprehension of the designers’ vision and customers’ needs.
- Evaluate sample garments for construction, workmanship and grading to ensure optimum fit, appearance & quality.
- Identify problems & communicate daily to overseas partners,



detailing your garment fit/quality reviews and comments.
- Conduct weekly fit sessions with live models.
- Adhere to the product development calendar and production deadlines.
- Serve as technical liaison with Production, Pattern and Design teams

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years in the apparel industry in technical design
- Artistic & creative ability to understand current trends & interpret design concepts from sketch.
- Robust ability in creating technical diagrams.
- Excellent discernment of grading.
- Practical knowledge of garment construction, manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of various product categories such as denim, knits and jersey
- Effective communication experience with overseas vendors.
- Ability to manage changing priorities to keep on track to meet established deadlines.
- Technical knowledge of placement print and AOP
- Must be proficient in Illustrator.
