Who you are

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

- 5 years of progressive accounting experience

- CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification is preferred

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GST/PST

- Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP software

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills

- Clear written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines independently

What the job involves

- This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate, timely financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Complete bank reconciliations
- Complete balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations

- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable with customer setup, inquiries, and reviewing of subledgers and aged balances

- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, tax filings, and internal reporting





- GST/PST filings and other regulatory reporting requirements

- Review general ledger accounts and investigate variances

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries

- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards

- Help improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation

- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting questions and support operational needs
