Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate steel components.
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to cut, shape, and assemble steel parts.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform welding (MIG and TIG), grinding, drilling, and assembly tasks with precision.
- Measure materials with calipers and other measuring devices to ensure exact specifications are met.
- Rigging and crane operation to lift, position, and secure heavy steel sections safely during fabrication and installation.
- Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring a clean work workplace.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ductwork fabrication,



and structural installation processes on-site or in the shop.

Skills

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for accurate fabrication.
- Mechanical knowledge of welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding processes.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, plasma cutters, machining tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of rigging procedures for lifting heavy steel components safely.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements and assembly.
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments involving ductwork or structural assembly is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, schematics interpretation, welding safety practices, and general construction protocols.
