BGC South East is currently seeking the following position:

Supervisor, Special Events & Sponsorships

Job Posting Details

Hours - 40h/week on Weekdays, occasional evenings and weekends.

Locations - West End Community Centre (1300 Bath Road), may travel to or work out of other sites as needed

Rate of Pay: $30/hour, plus eligible employee benefits

Start Date - Immediate

Job Overview In the role of Supervisor, Special Events & Sponsorships, you will develop and implement a special events and sales plan with a goal to achieve and grow annual revenues of $2Million+.

Reporting to the Director, Resource Development and Communications, you will expand partnerships and community outreach to meet and grow the organization’s operations and long-term sustainability of service.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working flexible schedules for special events, including work on evenings and weekends. They should also be comfortable in a leadership role, working with a team and overseeing others.

Role and Responsibilities

- Develop recent and nurture existing partnerships with the goal to achieve and grow annual revenue goals of $2Million+ through sponsorships, special events, partnerships, and donor engagement.
- Lead the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of a minimum of five major special events annually, including an annual gala, golf tournament, breakfast fundraiser, and other signature fundraising events.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, vendors, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, guest experience, volunteer coordination, and event-day execution to ensure events meet established revenue and attendance objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase event revenue through sponsorships, ticket sales, table sales, auctions, donations, in-kind support, and other fundraising opportunities.
- Monitor and report on fundraising and event performance, including revenue, expenses, sponsorship performance, donor retention, attendance, engagement, and return on investment,



and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Develop and maintain fundraising and event calendars, project plans, budgets, prospect pipelines, and tracking systems to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and revenue targets are met.
- Lead and grow third-party and community-led fundraising initiatives, providing organizers with the tools, resources, guidance, and support needed to successfully plan and execute fundraising activities
- Develop and present customized sponsorship packages for special events, programs, facilities, and organizational assets, including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, recognition, fulfillment, and renewal.
- Lead donor stewardship and related administrative processes, including donation processing, tax receipting, mailout campaigns, thank-you communications, donor recognition, record management, and follow-up, ensuring accurate, timely, and professional service to donors and partners.
- Lead the implementation of giving campaigns, including:
- Monthly giving;
- Regular mailouts and donor campaigns;
- Major gift strategy;
- Legacy giving plan.
- Support the marketing plan and team, including the development of campaigns and materials to achieve fundraising and program goals aligned with the Club brand;
- Develop regular impact-focused communications and campaigns to boost the organization’s reach and support levels;
- Develop and nurture a partnership list including individual donors, small businesses, large corporations, Club families, and Club Alumni;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospects, partners, sponsors, donors, event participants, commitments, and stewardship activities within the organization’s CRM and related systems.




- Represent BGC South East professionally at community, business, networking, and fundraising events, building awareness of the organization and identifying new opportunities for engagement.
- Embrace and actively advance the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of BGC South East, while building strong relationships across departments and with BGC Clubs and partners across Canada.

Job Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in business, communications, or related fields
- Graduate degree level considered an asset;
- Past experience in fundraising and/or sales role;
- Fundraising certifications considered an asset;
- Marketing experience considered an asset;
- CPIC/Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check; and
- Valid Province of Ontario Class G driver’s license.
