We are seeking a Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Technician Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting a senior TAB tech in ensuring HVAC systems are operating efficiently and in accordance with design specifications. This role involves fieldwork, data collection, and collaboration with our TAB Tech team to deliver high-performance building systems.

Out of town, evening & weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems including air and hydronic systems.
- Use specialized instruments to measure airflow, pressure, temperature, and system performance.
- Collaborate with our team of TAB Techs, contractors, and building owners to ensure system compliance.
- Maintain calibration and proper use of TAB instruments and tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards on all job sites.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
- TAB experience not required, we will provide training to the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to lift 50lbs
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Local industry work experience.
- Certification from NEBB, AABC, or TABB.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
- Familiarity with NEBB, AABC,



or TABB standards and procedures an asset
- Proficiency with TAB instruments such as manometers, anemometers, flow hoods, and hydronic meters an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and control schematics is an asset
