Tandem Gravel Truck Driver

Job Type: Full time, Year-Round

Pay: $28.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday with some Saturdays required

Summit Earthworx LTD. is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 3 Tandem Gravel Truck Driver to join our growing team.

We operate newer, well-maintained equipment and work primarily on residential and commercial construction projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their truck, works well with contractors and site supervisors, and can be counted on to show up ready to work every day.

Responsibilities

- Operate a tandem gravel truck safely and professionally
- Haul clay, sand and other construction material
- Safely dump material on active construction sites
- Complete accurate truck tickets and daily paperwork
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep assigned truck clean and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, operators and other drivers
- Follow Summit Earthworx safety procedures and site-specific requirements
- Work independently and use good judgment on construction sites

Requirements




- Valid Class 3 driver’s licence
- Clean or reasonably clean driver’s abstract
- Previous tandem gravel truck experience strongly preferred
- Experience working around construction sites and heavy equipment is an asset
- Comfortable backing into tight areas and dumping on active jobsites
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Dependable, punctual and able to work early mornings
- Able to take care of equipment and treat company trucks as if they were your own
