Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and experienced construction professionals to join our teams in Nanaimo, Courtenay, and Campbell River. As a TCP (Traffic Control Person), you will play a vital role in managing traffic flow and ensuring safety at construction sites. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, operate heavy equipment, and contribute to infrastructure projects that make a difference in the community.

Responsibilities

- Set up and maintain traffic control zones according to safety standards and project requirements
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during paving and other construction activities
- Direct traffic around construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and the public
- Assist with site preparation, including signage installation and removal




- Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks smoothly and safely
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work zones to uphold safety protocols
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times

Qualifications

- Prior experience in construction, paving, or traffic control preferred, but willing to train
- TCP Record of Completion, Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of traffic management practices and safety standards
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times
