The Opportunity

We are looking for a Team Lead for our Graduated Rent Subsidy Program (GRSP) to join our Housing Team at CUPS.

The Team Lead, Housing for GRSP is responsible for providing daily leadership and guidance to the GRSP Housing Coordinators and the GRSP/Community Development Housing Locator. Under the guidance of the Manager of Housing, you will ensure that the daily operations of the program are delivered in alignment with CUPS organizational standards and our integrated care and trauma-informed approaches. You will provide coaching and create the conditions for the sustainment of a highly functioning work environment, supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of the program.

Additionally, while frontline staff are responsible for providing direct client support and care, you will provide oversight and coaching to ensure every client within GRSP receives consistent, high-quality service.

The Graduated Rent Subsidy Program (GRSP) is a supportive housing program that works with individuals through a scattered site housing model. Individuals receiving services in GRSP are eligible for rental subsidy and support from the Housing Coordinators to move towards independence. The GRSP team provides community-focused strategies, resources, and support to help the client achieve their goals.

Employment and education supports are provided through case management services by the Housing Coordinators.

- Reports to: Manager, Housing
- Contract type: Temporary 7 Months with the possibility of extension
- Schedule: Full-time, Mon to Fri, 37.5hours per week
- Starting salary: $65,621.70 to $69,086.53

Key Responsibilities

- Provide daily direction and coaching to the CUPS housing supports teams, including regular check-ins, workload planning, regular coaching and performance management
- Deliver integrated client service through cross-departmental communications, multi-disciplinary case planning and information sharing across departments. Supporting workers in identifying opportunities to engage additional CUPS services to provide integrated services to clients.
- Champion CUPS continuous improvement concerning Health & Safety through execution of CUPS Health and Safety Program and regular assessment of Housing Supports health and safety needs
- Provide case management and client engagement coaching and direction to team members as needed for worker development and optimal client outcomes based on Brain Science, Trauma-Informed Care and Integrated Service delivery
- Understand program evaluation & reporting requirements, ensuring data integrity & availability for evaluation teams, producing program reports as needed and requested
- Create an approachable, caring and trauma-informed environment for workers, clients and guests
- Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure housing supports and worker goals developed are aligned with the organizational goals and strategic plan
- Develop and maintain a compassionate, qualified and effective housing supports team via effective recruitment, training and engagement strategies
- Cultivate a culture of integrated care, collaboration and commitment to organizational values

Employment Requirements

- Five (5) or more years of experience working in housing,



community development or financial support services
- Bachelor’s degree in social services (Social Work/Psychology) or Diploma in Human Services
- Demonstrated experience operating in a leadership capacity and established skill in coaching and supervision
- Current CPR & First Aid certification.
- Valid Drivers License, Clean Drivers Abstract, insurance and a reliable vehicle for outreach and client transport.
- Acceptable Criminal Background Check.

What You Bring

- Previous experience working in multidisciplinary and integrated care models are assets
- Knowledge and integration of trauma-informed practice in both client and supervisory approach
- Ability to be self-directed and exercise sound judgment and decision making
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively
- Brain Story Certification is an asset

Work Conditions

- Exposure to trauma and emotionally complex cases.
- May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
- Manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals.
- Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting (minimum 35lbs)
