Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our agile construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile surfaces in residential and commercial spaces, ensuring durability, precision, and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise will help transform spaces by laying beautiful, functional tile that meets project specifications and client expectations.

Duties

- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar to ensure proper tile adhesion
- Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, and nippers to fit designated spaces
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to determine layout patterns and installation sequences
- Lay tiles systematically, maintaining consistent grout lines and alignment for a professional finish
- Apply caulking around edges, corners, and fixtures to seal gaps and prevent water infiltration
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to coordinate installation processes and ensure project timelines are met




- Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to identify and correct any issues promptly

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools used in tile installation, including tile cutters, saws, trowels, and levelers
- Construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades such as carpentry or handyman work
- Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and layout plans accurately
- Knowledge of tile laying techniques for various surfaces including floors, walls, backsplashes, and showers
- Experience with flooring installation methods and materials to ensure long-lasting results
- Skilled in caulking techniques for waterproofing and finishing touches
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments
