Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinary team in providing exceptional care for animals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal health and welfare, excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, manage animal handling, and ensure a clean and organized environment to promote the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Restrain and handle animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, equipment, and work areas.
- Feed, exercise, and monitor hospitalized patients.
- Prepare laboratory samples and assist with basic diagnostic procedures.
- Stock medical supplies and maintain inventory.
- Admit and discharge patients according to clinic protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with pet owners.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, place and enter orders, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Enthusiasm for learning about animal health and willingness to expand technical knowledge.

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
