Role Overview

We are building a reliable, high-performance snow and ice management team serving commercial properties across the GTA. We are hiring both Walkway Crew Members and Walkway Crew Leads to clear snow and ice from walkways, entrances, and pedestrian areas across assigned sites, working with shovels, snowblowers, and salt spreaders.

Key Responsibilities — Walkway Crew Member

- Clear snow and ice from walkways, entrances, stairs, and other pedestrian areas using shovels, snowblowers, salt spreaders, and bagged salt.
- Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections on all small equipment before each outing.
- Pile snow only in designated and approved locations.
- Follow detailed site maps to ensure every assigned area is completed.
- Stay reachable for communication throughout your shift.
- Report any site obstacles or hazards to your crew lead.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on small equipment as required.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Work in accordance with all company policies and local health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities — Walkway Crew Lead

- All responsibilities of a Walkway Crew Member, performed alongside your team in the field.
- Supervise and direct a walkway crew through the full route, assigning areas and managing pace to meet completion deadlines.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and confirm the crew is properly equipped and fit for duty before dispatch.
- Verify each site is completed to company standards before moving the crew on.




- Communicate route progress, delays, damage, and site issues promptly to your account manager.
- Track labour and material usage in the Viaesys software (training provided).
- Train and coach new crew members on technique, site specifics, and safe working procedures.
- Enforce PPE use, safe work practices, and company policy across the crew.

Mandatory Requirements

- G driver's licence preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from the contract site
- 24/7 on-call availability throughout the season, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Stamina to sustain long shifts of physical work in a rapid-paced environment.

What We Provide

- All equipment, tools, training, and detailed site maps.
- Uniforms (winter boots not included).
- A paid orientation and training period.

Compensation

- $22.50–32.50 per hour, based on role and experience.

Pay: $22.50-$32.50 per hour
