Responsibilities

- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse
- Perform order picking using manual methods or automated order picker systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage during transit or storage
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and maintain accurate records
- Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to ensure safety standards are met




- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

Requirements

- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Hands-on experience with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting techniques
- Construction or industrial experience is advantageous for understanding heavy equipment operation and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting loads repeatedly throughout shifts
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures to ensure a secure working environment
- Valid certification for forklift operation or crane use is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
