Surface To Surface Inc. designs and manufactures mud-mixing systems for the directional drilling and mineral exploration industries. We're looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our production team and build the high-quality equipment our customers rely on.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to read blueprints, fabricate components, and produce clean, structurally sound welds on a variety of materials. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a hands-on manufacturing team.

What You'll Do

- Read and interpret drawings and work orders to determine fabrication specifications.

- Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick, as required)

- Cut, shape, and fit metal components using saws, shears, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools

- Perform quality checks on finished welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances

- Operate grinders and other finishing tools to prepare and clean welds

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety standards

- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues





- Maintain and perform basic upkeep on welding and fabrication equipment

What You'll Need

- [3+] years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

- Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings

- Strong understanding of fabrication tools, techniques, and shop safety practices

- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.) and provided jigs

- Physical ability to lift [up to 50 lbs], stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality artistry

- Welding certification(s) preferred but not required
