Duties and responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the successful applicant will perform production duties and may assist in the coordination and delivery of training to program clients.

Duties include

- Performing production activities and operating production machinery including Mitre saws, up cut saws, table saw, air-nailers, pallet jacks, multi rip saw, banding machines, and material handling equipment
- Assisting in job planning, supervision and delegation of duties to area clients
- Ensuring area procedures are followed to ensure product quality, production efficiency and safe working conditions Shipping and receiving materials- Assisting with inventory counts
- Performing production activities and operating production machinery in additional Training Centre Departments as required
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Supervisor

Qualifications:

Education

- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

Experience:
- Industrial, mechanical and/or woodworking experience




- Forklift operator’s certificate and WHMIS certification are considered assets

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disabilities
- Solid math and communication skills
