We are Seeking: We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our Drywall Warranty and Service Team.

About Us: Great Western Interiors is a 35 year Insulation and Drywall Contracting Company operating within the Calgary, Edmonton areas and has recently expanded into the Columbia Valley market. We are committed to providing our clients with quality workmanship while meeting expected timelines with an excellent service program. We are currently providing our services for New Residential Builds, Renovations, and Multi-Family projects.

Location: This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. This is primarily a Field-Based position with regular visits to active construction projects. Other locations include remote, in office, off-site for team, vendor, training and client meetings.

Hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

Position Overview: This is a working manager position for an individual with a robust attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as lead and contribute to a team. As the Drywall Service Manager, you will play a valuable and crucial role in contributing to the quality of Service provided to our clients through a high-quality finished product supported by strong relationships. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow and utilize their experience.





A qualified candidate has experience in drywall service and warranty with a primary focus on taping repairs but understands the full scope of drywall and insulation services (insulation, boarding, texture, etc.)

Responsibilities:

- Lead GWI Service Team (technicians, coordinators)
- Representing GWI in high level warranty and service interactions
- Participate in hiring process for Service Team, training new staff in procedures.
- Develop and implement best practice and standard operating procedures for the Service Department.
- Lead in Service ERP, utilizing reports for service team efficiency
- Work with Service Coordinator and Operations Manager for scheduling, quality control and billing. Utilizing email, excel spreadsheets, and dispatch software.
- Communicate with team members and clients to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.
- Repair and replace damaged drywall. Tape, mud, and sand to prepare for paint and texture.
- Monitor service costs, productivity, and material usage to ensure efficient and profitable operations
- Identify recurring issues and collaborate with production teams to reduce future service calls
- Lead and Participate in Performance Coaching, mentorship and professional development with GWI Team leaders and Service Team.
- Build, foster and maintain relationships with Clients, Contractors, Suppliers and team members.

Requirements:

- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to give and take direction to work effectively alongside a team.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of dispatch software.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail,



quality workmanship, and the ability to work meticulously to achieve high-quality results.
- Relationship focused, willingness to participate in client, team and networking events.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract
