Soccer Heroes Coach

Our team is looking to add enthusiastic and professional coaches, experienced in working with young children, to bring soccer adventures to life.

About Us

We are Calgary’s best youth soccer program specializing in early childhood development, ages 2-5 years. We teach physical literacy, soccer skills, social skills and self-confidence using our unique ‘adventure-based play’ methodology and engaging children in soccer adventures. The program is designed to give children from 24 months to 9 years of age an introduction to the sport of soccer, physical activity and social interaction.

Children develop hand-eye and foot-eye coordination, fundamental movement skills, athleticism and learn the basics of living a healthy, active lifestyle.

The Role

As a Soccer Heroes coach, it is your job to bring children’s soccer adventure to life! You will be the leader on field, setting the stage and leading ‘soccer adventure’ classes. You will be helping to direct and expand the programming of Soccer Heroes Calgary; to help kids develop physically, engage kids mentally, and teach the joy of physical and social participation. This is not an ordinary "Soccer Coach" role, this is leading a soccer-themed children's storybook adventure.

Qualifications





· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Administration, Recreation, Physical Education, Communications, Early Childhood Development or related program

· Enthusiastic about creating development opportunities for young children

· Passionate about promoting fitness and an active lifestyle for children

· Experience leading programs as a coach, teacher, camp counsellor, or other

· Robust organizational and management skills including the supervision of staff

· Ability to work independently and self-manage as well as with a group of committed colleagues

· Positive leadership and communications style

· Use of a personal vehicle is strongly recommended

· Must be able to work on weekend mornings

· Willingness to learn, be challenged, have fun at work and grow as an individual

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
