Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer
Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000
We are looking for a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer to join a growing, multidisciplinary engineering team supporting complex mining and infrastructure projects.The Opportunity
This position involves a balance of technical leadership, advanced analysis, and project delivery. You will play a key role in both design and execution phases, working alongside experienced professionals on a range of challenging projects in Canada and internationally.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support engineering studies for operating sites and development projectsConduct rock mass classification and define geomechanical domainsPerform stability analyses for slopes and underground excavationsDevelop and assess ground performance monitoring systems and instrumentation dataManage project deliverables including scope, timelines, and coordinationContribute to continuous improvement of internal tools and engineering practicesProvide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team membersParticipate in site visits and travel as requiredQualifications:
Degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering (graduate degree in rock mechanics is an asset)Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada or eligible10+ years of experience in rock mechanics,



preferably within mining or civil projectsStrong background in geotechnical and rock mechanics design and analysisExperience with:
Rock mass classification systemsSlope and underground excavation stabilityInstrumentation and performance monitoringTechnical reporting and design documentation
