Blue Cross Pet Hospital is looking for a registered veterinary technician to join our friendly and hardworking team. We are a busy, independently owned, 2 doctor practice in East Vancouver focused on providing excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate will:

- love working with animals and people,
- be able to multitask and work well within a team,
- have excellent communication skills,
- maintain compassion, empathy and professionalism during high-stress situations.

Job responsibilities include:

- providing basic comfort and nursing care and keeping accurate medical records,
- blood and urine sample collection/handling, IV and urinary catheter placement and maintenance,
- subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular injections;
- general bandaging/wound care,
- anesthesia induction and monitoring (with doctor direction), intubation and extubation;
- always maintaining a high standard of patient care

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour

Experience:

- veterinary technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- RVT certification (required)
