As an intern in the Global Economic Sanctions team, you will support critical compliance efforts and contribute to the investigation of potential sanctions violations. Your role is essential for protecting RBC's integrity and understanding geopolitical finance issues. Experience working with seasoned professionals while developing your proficiency in regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Aid in sanctions assessments of client activities
• Engage in investigations related to sanctions compliance
• Acquire expertise in Canadian, US, UK, and EU sanctions




• Participate in GES projects aimed at process enhancement
• Help with research on financial proliferation and terrorism financing
Requirements:
• Experience in Financial Compliance, particularly sanctions-related
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Prior knowledge of sanctions regulations required
• Bi-lingual proficiency is advantageous
• Familiarity with Python and financial technologies is preferred
