Role overview We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our finance team at a growing, PE-backed professional services firm. This is a fully remote role with direct ownership of the monthly close, year-end audit, and consolidation across our Canadian and US entities. You’ll manage one direct report and an outsourced bookkeeping relationship, own revenue recognition, cash management and AP oversight, and work closely with the VP of Finance as the primary technical accounting resource for the organization — this is a hands‑on role with the opportunity to grow within a dynamic organization. 1 (Bookkeeper) Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop one direct report (Bookkeeper), including delegation of transactional work, review of their output, and professional development Manage the relationship with an outsourced bookkeeping service responsible for two entities, including reviewing their work for accuracy, setting deadlines, and ensuring consistency with internal accounting policies Serve as the day-to-day technical accounting lead, while partnering and escalating strategic matters to the VP of Finance Month-End Close & Reporting Assist in the development and implementation of key accounting policies to ensure the combined enterprise is audit ready Own the full month-end close process in QuickBooks Online, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis (accrual basis of accounting across all entities) Perform balance sheet
