Position SummaryThe Caterpillar MineStar Application Specialist is a mine site‑based role where you work hand in hand with our customers. You will ensure the Command for Hauling equipment and system is working at optimum performance, troubleshoot issues in the field, and work with a multidisciplinary team to rectify faults. You also identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the Caterpillar engineering team to drive product improvements.What You Will Do:Implement MineStar® Command and maximize system performance.Become a trusted advisor for the customer through close collaboration internally and externally.Support and advise MineStar® Command Office Supervisors, Builders, Controllers and Pit Technicians on all aspects of Minestar® system performance, including minimizing downtime.Measure, benchmark and report on MineStar® Command System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements.Develop training and process material.Manage machine and system integration.Professional SkillsTechnical ExcellenceKnowledge of mining technology products and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Field SupportExperience in providing post‑sales support and maintaining hardware products.Problem SolvingAbility to recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process problems effectively.Communication SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a complex team.Analytical SkillsAnalytical skills that can be used to troubleshoot electronic systems to understand root cause.Top Candidates Will Also Have:A degree in Electrical,



Mechanical or Mining Engineering.Motivated self‑starter capable of working with others to complete all tasks accountable to them on time.Knowledge of mining technology products and product applications, including Fleet Management systems.Experience at a mine‑site in a camp setting on a roster.Additional InformationThe role is a customer site‑based position supporting mine sites near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The schedule is a 14 on / 14 off days & nights roster. Carpooling or bussing is provided to and from site, and a camp option close to the site is available. Sponsorship is not available. Domestic relocation is available for this position.
