The Opportunity: The Deputy Minister of Trade and Export Development requires a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to fill the position of Executive Advisor (EA) to the Deputy Minister. In this pivotal position, you will manage various policy, program and operational issues and projects on behalf of the Deputy Minister, the Minister’s Office and the executive leadership team. Our ideal candidate is proactive, can analyze and comprehend ministry goals and strategies, and understands how they relate to government's strategic direction. You can clearly communicate information and explain the rationale behind decisions. You will do this by using a collaborative approach to build relationships and influence others to achieve goals or resolve problems while demonstrating openness and receptivity to recent information. In addition,



a high degree of organization and attention to detail is required to track achievements, take corrective action, meet deadlines, and plan and manage work effectively. To be successful in the position, you will be aware of ministry and government issues and programs, the Legislative cycle, and the impact of decisions on citizens and stakeholders. You will be sensitive to the differing needs and perspectives of multiple partners and ensure work aligns with the strategic direction of the ministry and government.
