The SCM Procurement Analyst supports procurement activities for Maintenance, Operations, and other Site Services business areas within Christina Lake North. Reporting to the Team Lead, SCM Procurement, this role is responsible for ensuring the effective sourcing and procurement of materials and services required to support operational objectives. The successful candidate will partner closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and supply chain teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement solutions. This position plays a key role in supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, procurement processes, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Operational Support

Source, procure, and expedite external goods and services through approved procurement, receiving, and transportation channels to meet operational requirements. Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders regarding purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices. Recommend and implement appropriate procurement strategies based on business requirements, complexity, and value. Execute competitive procurement processes, including RFx development, evaluation, award, contract execution, and closeout. Collaborate with the SCM Service Center (SSC) to resolve pricing discrepancies, purchase order confirmations, settlement issues, and GR/IR imbalances. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure timely receipt of goods and achievement of internal performance targets. Partner with maintenance planners to support alignment between Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes. Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships and serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers. Support Category Management teams in advancing sourcing and procurement initiatives. Identify and contribute to opportunities that reduce procurement costs and improve operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management policies, Cenovus's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Assist in validating supplier compliance with commercial, technical, safety, and business requirements. Advise stakeholders on procurement policies, procedures, and sourcing best practices. Support sourcing and contracting activities that align with business requirements and approved procurement channels. Collaborate with Category Management teams to identify opportunities, establish targets, and support sourcing plans. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely sourcing outcomes. Promote standardized, modern sourcing practices that maximize value and ensure supply continuity. Ensure procurement transactions adhere to approved buying, receiving, and transportation processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Assist in tracking and reporting key performance indicators that drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Support the identification and mitigation of supply chain risks through proactive monitoring and stakeholder collaboration. Contribute to the development and maintenance of supply chain dashboards, reports, and analytic tools. Ensure procurement data integrity and compliance with corporate governance standards. Contribute to team and organizational objectives through alignment of individual goals and priorities.

Required

3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Supplier Management. Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, supply chain management practices, performance metrics, and reporting. Experience using SAP and Ariba systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on compliance, governance, and process improvement. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Legally entitled to work in Canada. Preferred

Experience within the Oil & Gas, Mining, or Utilities sectors. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional supply chain designation such as SCMP, CSCP, CPM, or CPSM. Key Success Factors:
