$120,000–$160,000 base, potentially higher depending on experience Contact will confirm additional wage/benefit details Based out of Vaughan or Thunder Bay, ON Requirements Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally not purely site-based Experience with underground shaft sinking projects strongly preferred (though hard to find) Consulting engineering background (e.g., Stantec-type experience) would be a valuable fit Comfortable with design engineering work, plus occasional site visits Able to work on hoist systems and shaft sinking design Strong underground engineering expertise at the senior level is critical Will interact with a variety of disciplines across a ~60-engineer team, with much of the work driven by the structural team Involves meetings with clients and vendors to source equipment/services as needed Work will include study work for new clients, upcoming projects the company hopes to be awarded, and existing EPC projects (e.g., in Sudbury)
