Job Description

The Canal District is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwashers / Kitchen Attendants to join our culinary team. This is an important behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our kitchens clean, organized, and running efficiently during restaurant service, weddings, banquets, and special events.

Responsibilities

- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation
- Remove garbage and recycling and maintain waste areas
- Keep floors, work areas, and storage spaces clean and safe
- Restock clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other duties as required
- Support opening and closing kitchen procedures




- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other team members

Required Skills

- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen workplace
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
