Litigation Lawyer – Downtown Ottawa Salary: $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience Join a Collaborative and Growing Litigation Team A well-established and growing Ottawa law firm is looking for an experienced Litigation Lawyer with 5+ years of experience to join its team in Downtown Ottawa . About You To be successful in this role, you will: Have 5+ years of litigation experience , preferably with a strong background in civil litigation Be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario Have experience managing litigation files through various stages of the litigation process Have experience with examinations for discovery, mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, motions and trial preparation Possess strong legal research, drafting, analytical and advocacy skills Be able to assess complex legal issues and provide transparent, practical and strategic legal advice Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate strong organizational and file-management abilities Be comfortable managing files independently while contributing to a collaborative team workplace Demonstrate sound judgment,



initiative and attention to detail Take pride in providing exceptional client service and building strong client relationships Approach challenging matters with creativity and a practical, solutions-focused mindset Assets The following would be considered an asset, but are not required : Experience in construction litigation and/or estate litigation An existing or developing book of business Bilingualism in English and French About the Role In this role, you will: Manage a diverse portfolio of civil litigation matters Work directly with clients to understand their legal needs and develop effective strategies Draft pleadings, motions, legal opinions, correspondence and other litigation documents Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice Participate in discoveries, mediations, arbitrations, settlement discussions and other litigation proceedings Represent clients throughout the litigation process Work closely with other lawyers and legal support professionals to advance client matters Develop and maintain strong client relationships Contribute to a collaborative, professional and team-oriented firm environment You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced team , allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality legal work and continuing to develop your practice.
