Job Description

The Machine Shop Event Venue is looking for enthusiastic, professional, and dependable Banquet & Event Servers to join our hospitality team. Our event servers help create memorable experiences for guests attending weddings, corporate functions, conferences, concerts, banquets, and special events throughout the Canal District.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, qualified, and attentive service to guests
- Set up and tear down banquet and event spaces
- Serve plated meals, buffet service, hors d'oeuvres, and beverages
- Clear tables and maintain clean, organized event spaces
- Assist with table settings, linens, glassware, and event décor
- Follow event timelines and direction from Event Coordinators and Management
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and event staff




- Maintain high standards of guest service and professionalism

Required Skills

- Previous serving, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an asset
- Friendly and outgoing with strong communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Smart Serve certification is an asset for positions involving alcohol service

Pay & Hours

Salary: $17.60

Contract: Part Time
