RVA is seeking a Project Engineer, Transportation to work on a variety of challenging projects. The role involves designing roadways and highway infrastructure such as grading, drainage, roadside safety, geometric design, flood protection, stormwater management, storm drainage systems, watermain and sewer design, intersection design, and utility coordination.ResponsibilitiesProviding engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projectsAssisting in project management, including budget tracking and client communicationParticipating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed designContributing to reports, drawings, and other engineering documentsPreparing designs for municipal road reconstructions, water/sewer systems, site grading, and stormwater managementCommunicating with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervisionSupporting business development initiativesCollaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and budgetsPreparing tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and construction estimatesMentoring junior engineers and technologists as neededQualificationsUniversity Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution4-14 years of experience in municipal/transportation design engineering, with some consulting experience preferredP.Eng., or eligibility for registration in OntarioProject Management experience considered an assetAbility to develop positive relationships with staff and clientsExperience in meeting project timelines and budgetsGood technical writing and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBenefitsCompetitive compensation packages and performance-based bonusesHealth, paramedical, vision,
