They will lead strategic UX Research roadmap planning, through cooperative workshops & rituals with Design, Product & Technology partners, ensuring UXR team efforts are focused on most critical research areas. They will create a culture of openness; proactively seeks out and acts on feedback from team; encourages challenging and honest conversations, work closely with peers and encourages cross-team collaborations to continue to evolve the UX Research craft within BMO DigitalThis is a 12month contract position.Understands how new consumer and business customers approach search, evaluation, and selection of a banking solution. Strategically negotiates design solutions in relation to business goals. Helps organizations through a better understanding of the customer use preferences and needs by analyzing “Voice of the Customer”. Designs and facilitates research programs,analyzes data to deliver unique insights. Connects research questions and insights that bring out intuitive designs and support strategy and product development. Collaborates with Design, Marketing, Product and Technology stakeholders both inside and outside of the team.Defines and executes a comprehensive research plan.Identifies best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.Collects and analyzes user behavior through lab studies, field visits,



ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments.Identifies and incorporates complex technical and business requirements into research and helps advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.Develops budgets and timelines for research projects.Presents findings to designers, developers, and other stakeholders and concludes on the action plan.Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion.Regularly connects work to BMO’s purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through.Builds interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders.Attracts, retains, and enables the career development of top talent.Improves team performance, recognizes and rewards performance, coaches employees, supports their development, and manages poor performance.Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.Implements changes in response to shifting trends.Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.Take measured risks while protecting the
